It’s been just over two years since I received a call about a custom starters desk project for March AFB in Riverside Ca. The major issue was, the company selected for this project wasn’t going to be able to complete it in time for the General Archie Old golf course’s Grand Re-Opening celebration.

March is one of the oldest airfields operated by the United States military, established in 1917 and was a Strategic Air Command base.

Wow, we had the chance to be a part of  this historic golf course, but only had 6 weeks for the completion. The year long renovation,along with our custom starters desk would be unveiled at an elaborate grand re-opening ceremony. There would be many high ranking government officials, Air Force officers and celebrities on hand!

After March’s representatives visit to our 80,000 square foot factory and a short meeting, they were confident our company would get it done. The project was a GO!

I designed and engineered March’s order in just under two days, and in less than 4 weeks our crews would be installing this spectacular addition to the club house of the General Old Golf Course.

Just last week I had the opportunity to stop by March AFB’s golf clubhouse to see how the starters desk looked 2 years later.  In a word, “PERFECT!”
